ABOUT THE OUTSIDE SALES CONSULTANT ROLE
This is NOT a passive sales position.
This is NOT a "sit and wait" design role.

This is a fast-paced, outside sales role for someone who thrives on momentum, loves meeting people, gets genuinely excited about closing projects, and communicates with urgency and confidence.

You'll work a combination of warm inbound leads and self-generated business. Yes, leads come in — and you'll be expected to run hard on every single one. But the best person for this role doesn't wait for the phone to ring. They're out building relationships with builders, designers, remodelers, and homeowners before the need even arises. The pipeline is real. The support is real. The upside is real. What we need is someone who hunts AND converts.

  • Following up consistently and closing at a high rate.
  • Proactively building referral relationships with builders, designers, and remodelers that compound over time.
  • Representing JG Custom Cabinetry & Design with professionalism and pride.

Primary KPI: Closing Rate

Supporting KPIs: lead response speed, appointment velocity, follow-up consistency, self-generated pipeline activity, sales volume, gross profit, and customer experience.

COMPENSATION & PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY
This role is designed for someone who wants to build a serious income through strong performance, urgency, follow-through, and closing ability.

We are not looking for someone seeking a large guaranteed salary.

We ARE looking for someone excited by the opportunity to earn at a high level through execution and results.

Compensation Structure Includes:
  • Competitive base salary (target range approximately $40,000–$50,000 depending on experience and fit).
  • Commission on closed projects.
  • Performance-based earning accelerators for high performers.
  • Long-term growth opportunity within a growing company.

Expected Earnings Potential:
  • Solid performer: approximately $80,000–$120,000+.
  • Strong performer: approximately $130,000–$150,000+.
  • Top performer: $150,000–$200,000+ potential.
There is no artificial cap on income.

  • And ultimately your ability to close projects consistently at a high level.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal candidate is naturally driven and competitive, energized by opportunity, and uncomfortable sitting idle. You're highly personable, emotionally intelligent, and confident leading conversations and building trust quickly. You communicate well in person, on the phone, and in follow-up. You're flexible, coachable, and in it for the long haul.

Previous outside sales experience is strongly preferred. Cabinetry or remodeling experience is helpful but not required. Products can be taught. Sales instinct is much harder to teach.

THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF:

  • You prefer designing over selling.
  • You avoid follow-up or urgency.
  • You rely solely on inbound leads and have no interest in building your own pipeline.
  • You're satisfied with average performance.
