Outside Sales Consultant

JG Custom Cabinetry & Design | Northeast Wisconsin | Base + Uncapped Commission

WHO WE ARE

JG Custom Cabinetry & Design has been serving Northeast Wisconsin for over 22 years. We're a locally rooted, relationship-driven company with a reputation built on trust, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer experiences.

We're not a startup. We're not a big box. We're a proven business with deep community roots, a loyal customer base, and a growing pipeline — and we're looking for the right person to help us take it to the next level.

We are not building a team of order takers.

We are building a team of motivated, relationship-driven closers who create momentum, solve problems, and guide customers through some of the most meaningful investments they'll make in their homes.

ABOUT THE OUTSIDE SALES CONSULTANT ROLE

This is NOT a passive sales position.

This is NOT a \"sit and wait\" design role.

This is a fast-paced, outside sales role for someone who thrives on momentum, loves meeting people, gets genuinely excited about closing projects, and communicates with urgency and confidence.

You'll work a combination of warm inbound leads and self-generated business. Yes, leads come in — and you'll be expected to run hard on every single one. But the best person for this role doesn't wait for the phone to ring. They're out building relationships with builders, designers, remodelers, and homeowners before the need even arises. The pipeline is real. The support is real. The upside is real. What we need is someone who hunts AND converts.

WHY WORK HERE AS AN OUTSIDE SALES CONSULTANT:

This isn't just another sales job. Here's what makes this opportunity different:

Established Brand, Warm Market:

You're not starting from scratch. Twenty-two years of community trust means customers already know our name and respect our work. You walk in with credibility.

Inbound Leads Plus Room to Build:

You'll have a running start with inbound opportunities handed to you. But this role rewards the person who builds their own pipeline on top of that — not someone who waits for the next lead to drop.

Uncapped Earning Potential:

There is no ceiling here. High performers earn accordingly, and we mean it. The more you close, the more you make — period.

Product Training Provided:

You don't need to know cabinetry to get started. We'll teach you everything about the product. We just need you to bring the sales instinct.

Direct Access to Ownership:

You won't get lost in a corporate structure. You'll work closely with the owner, get real feedback, and have a direct line to decision-making. Your voice matters here.

Ground-Floor Growth Opportunity:

This role has the potential to become a major long-term position as the company grows. We are actively building a true sales-driven organization, and the right person will grow with it.

Culture of Performance and Respect:

We work hard, we celebrate wins, and we treat people well. We want someone who wants to be here long-term — and we'll make it worth their while.

Local, Flexible, and Community-Rooted:

You're not relocating or working for a company that doesn't know your backyard. We're Northeast Wisconsin, through and through.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE FOR OUR OUTSIDE SALES CONSULTANT:

Responding to leads fast — hours, not days.
Creating momentum and trust with customers quickly.
Guiding homeowners confidently through good / better / best solutions.
Following up consistently and closing at a high rate.
Proactively building referral relationships with builders, designers, and remodelers that compound over time.
Representing JG Custom Cabinetry & Design with professionalism and pride.

Primary KPI: Closing Rate

Supporting KPIs: lead response speed, appointment velocity, follow-up consistency, self-generated pipeline activity, sales volume, gross profit, and customer experience.

COMPENSATION & PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY

This role is designed for someone who wants to build a serious income through strong performance, urgency, follow-through, and closing ability.

We are not looking for someone seeking a large guaranteed salary.

We ARE looking for someone excited by the opportunity to earn at a high level through execution and results.

Compensation Structure Includes:

Competitive base salary (target range approximately $40,000–$50,000 depending on experience and fit).
Commission on closed projects.
Performance-based earning accelerators for high performers.
Long-term growth opportunity within a growing company.

Expected Earnings Potential:

Solid performer: approximately $80,000–$120,000+.
Strong performer: approximately $130,000–$150,000+.
Top performer: $150,000–$200,000+ potential.

There is no artificial cap on income.

Your earning potential is directly tied to:

Responsiveness.
Urgency.
Communication.
Customer experience.
Follow-through.
And ultimately your ability to close projects consistently at a high level.

This position is built for someone who wants to run hard, grow with the company, and be rewarded accordingly.

Additional Perks:

Mileage reimbursement or vehicle allowance.
Company phone or phone stipend.
Laptop or tablet for presentations and proposals.
Health insurance.
Dental and vision.
PTO and paid holidays.
Professional development budget.
Performance bonuses tied to quarterly or annual targets.
CRM and tools provided.
Flexible scheduling.
Clear path to advancement as the company grows.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is naturally driven and competitive, energized by opportunity, and uncomfortable sitting idle. You're highly personable, emotionally intelligent, and confident leading conversations and building trust quickly. You communicate well in person, on the phone, and in follow-up. You're flexible, coachable, and in it for the long haul.

Previous outside sales experience is strongly preferred. Cabinetry or remodeling experience is helpful but not required. Products can be taught. Sales instinct is much harder to teach.

THIS ROLE IS PROBABLY NOT FOR YOU IF:

You want a predictable 84 desk routine.
You prefer designing over selling.
You avoid follow-up or urgency.
You rely solely on inbound leads and have no interest in building your own pipeline.
You're satisfied with average performance.
You're looking for easy commission without putting in the work.

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE OUTSIDE SALES CONSULTANT POSITION:

Submit your resume and a 60–90 second voicemail introduction telling us:

Who you are.
Your sales background.
Why you're the right fit for this role.

We want to hear how you communicate, not just read about it.

Candidates who do not leave a voicemail will not be considered.

Twenty-two years of community trust. A growing pipeline. Real leads. Real earning potential. A company that genuinely invests in the people who perform.

If you're motivated, relationship-driven, and ready to build something that lasts — we'd love to hear from you.
